Mega Markets - Another unregulated forex broker (FCA)

24.04.2023
Mega Markets gives the impression that investors are offered perfect opportunities to make money with Forex and cryptocurrency trading as fast as they are safe. At Mega Markets, everything is investment fraud. Not a penny has been invested. Everything the investor sees on their screen is deception. Nothing is traded on megamarkets.com. The money has landed right in the pockets of investment scammers. Have you had similar experiences? What can investors do who have been scammed by Mega Markets? What help is available in case of investment fraud? How can investors get their money back from dubious providers?

Mega Markets: Assurances on the website are half-silent and unserious
What must the astonished visitors on www.megamarkets.com receive? "The award-winning Mega Markets trading platform is a web-based, easy-to-use platform that's ready to go! Easily trade forex pairs like EUR USD, stocks like Tesla & Google, gold, and a whole host of other instruments! If you need any help, our outstanding customer support team is here to help!" That's just a small excerpt of the suspect assurances investors can find on Mega Markets' website. Not one of these lofty promises from Mega Markets has been delivered. Unfortunately, the questionable business conduct rather provides disappointed investors and bad experiences!

Mega Markets: Who is behind it?
Almost all investors will certainly find it difficult to answer this question, as the Mega Markets makers do everything they can to conceal the true circumstances. This is undoubtedly not unusual, as scammers often operate several such websites with the same fraudulent business model. These are produced in stock, uploaded to the Internet one after the other, and shut down just as quickly; moreover, the top-level domain is repeatedly changed to evade financial regulators and law enforcement agencies. However, the UK FCA published a warning about Mega Markets on Feb. 21, 2023.

But who is the operator of Mega Markets?
On the website megamarkets.com, there is no usable information about this. Of course, the company Mega Markets (without legal form) is listed with the address One Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London E14 5AB, but the creators of Mega Markets cannot be found at this address. After all, this is only a dummy address, just like the previously used address City Point Building, 1 Ropemaker Street, London, UNITED KINGDOM, EC2Y 9HT. In addition, megamarkets.com also has the email address support@megamarkets.com and the UK phone number +44 7354010811. The domain megamarkets.com was registered with NameCheap, Inc. as early as 22.09.2004, but recently on 12.03.2023, there was an update, which indicates a change of ownership.

Mega Markets: Scheme of the investment fraud
The investment scam constantly plays out according to the same scheme: investors get in with a small sum - usually 250 euros - and quickly see this amount multiply, so they are ready to invest higher and higher sums. The arguments start as soon as investors want their money paid out, because now taxes, commissions, fees, or anything else supposedly have to be paid first. Unfortunately, many investors are too slow to realize that they have fallen for investment scammers who never intended to pay out the money again.

Mega Markets: What help is there for investment fraud?
Many desperate investors wonder what to do in the case of investment fraud since criminal charges make little sense because criminal charges are primarily for prosecution and not to recover the money. What kind of help can one hope for in the case of investment fraud and how do affect investors get their money back? A lawyer specializing in investment fraud knows how to track the money because as they used to say, money is not gone, but unfortunately somewhere else. Nowadays, it can be added: It is exhausting, but with the proper tools it is possible to track money digitally regularly - even if it was deposited with Bitcoin through a crypto exchanger.
