Invest International - FCA warns traders

28.02.2022
The apparent online broker Invest International sells itself as a serious platform for online trading. However, there are numerous indications that there are strikingly many inconsistencies at Invest International. Reports from traders about Invest International are accumulating, talking about telephone terror, rip-offs and investment fraud. Investors have lost all their capital invested with Invest International. Doubts are spreading. Meanwhile, many Invest International investors are afraid that it is an investment fraud.  All Invest International investors are asking themselves if they have become victims of investment fraudsters? And what can Invest International investors do if the suspicion of investment fraud is substantiated? How can Invest International investors get their money back? Does it make sense to file a criminal complaint against Invest International with the police? What help is available in the case of investment fraud?

Invest International: Baseless promises on the website www.invest.international!
What must dumbfounded investors read on Invest International's website? "Our platform provides world-class investment services, catering to traders with varying levels of expertise...Invest.international's first priority is to guide its clients step-by-step towards achieving their trading goals and objectives...Our team knows how to make our clients successful as traders...We focus on providing outstanding products and services to help everyone trade the global financial markets like a pro...We pride ourselves on providing world-class services along with full integrity." This is just a small sample of the implausible assurances that the curious can find on Invest International's website. Not one of Invest International's grandiose assurances has been fulfilled. Sadly, the dubious business behaviour is more likely to lead to disappointed investors and miserable experiences!

Invest International: Hide and seek with domain entry!
Remarkable for the business practices of the Invest International makers is that the website does not contain an imprint. Thus, the complete information about the legally responsible operators of the website is missing. If one takes a look at the domain data of the Invest International website, there are no references to the operators. However, one learns that the domain was only registered on 12.10.2020 with GoDaddy.com, LLC. The real domain owners are hiding behind the US anonymisation service Domains By Proxy, LLC.

Invest International: Who is behind it?
Many investors will find it rather difficult to answer this question, as the Invest International makers do everything they can to conceal the true circumstances. However, this is nothing unusual. The perpetrators usually operate several of these websites with the same fraudulent business model. These are created in advance, quickly put on the net and just as quickly shut down. The top-level domain is often changed in order to deceive the financial supervisory and law enforcement authorities. But who is the operator? There is very scant information about this on the Invest International website. Neither a company nor a business address is given. There is only the obligatory support email address and the two telephone numbers +442037698229 for England and +43720360745 for Austria. A worldwide search for Invest International in the relevant registers yields no results. This makes it clear that this is a pure fantasy product.

Invest International: The customer acquisition of the investment fraudsters
The same procedure can be found here again and again: In order to attract investors, Invest International's offers are advertised in all available media and channels. In most cases, these are false promises. In addition, they upload promotional films on Youtube or Vimeo in which interested parties are convinced with false references. Here, supposed celebrities report on their experiences with online trading and cryptocurrencies, often with a misleading reference to the TV show "Die Höhle der Löwen". At the same time, an affiliate programme is usually launched to encourage others to promote Invest International.

Invest International: Criminal business practices
As soon as the customer has registered on the trading platform, he receives calls from alleged financial brokers who like to refer to their years of experience and their satisfied customer base. In many cases, however, the makers of this business model are fraudsters, against whom the Federal Criminal Police Office and the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) also warn. Investors usually start with a small amount of money. Beforehand, investors are often motivated to install remote maintenance software such as AnyDesk or TeamViewer on their computers so that they can supposedly receive help with the first steps. In many cases, the computer is manipulated afterwards and unwanted transactions are carried out. In the process, the investment fraudsters often also gain access to their victims' online banking. What is particularly criminal, however, is when supposed profits are displayed on the trading platform in order to entice the customer to place further high stakes. Sometimes even small sums are paid back to lull investors into a sense of security. Who then does not want to increase the stakes further? But what happens next?

Invest International: Repayment of money is conditional
Once in, it is usually impossible to get out. Instead, the administrators of the investment scams tie the repayment of the money to further deposits. This is where employees come in, claiming alleged tax debts and commission payments. If these are settled, the alleged profits are paid out. The perpetrators send investors self-made tax and commission statements, often decorated with fake coats of arms. These would have to be paid urgently. It is never possible to offset them against the alleged profits. If an investor refuses to make further deposits, supposed profits are turned into losses through senseless transactions and the client is damaged to the maximum. The horror does not end there, but investors are permanently confronted with calls from other dubious providers. This indicates that the investors' contact details are traded on among the investment fraudsters. In the end, a "saviour" regularly calls claiming to have uncovered the whole scam. He impresses with his insider knowledge. No wonder, since he is part of the fraud gang. The next rip-off! And of course the "saviour" also wants a small fee - in advance!

Invest International: Scheme of investment fraud?
There is no authorisation of the Invest International trading platform. Invest International lacks the legitimacy of a recognised European financial supervisory authority, such as the English Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySec), which is frequently used by brokers. Likewise, there is no authorisation from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (finma) or the Financial Market Authority (FMA) of Austria, which is responsible for Switzerland. For this, there is a warning from the FCA dated 14.09.2021. It is also obvious that Invest International is a scheme of capital investment fraud. All investors harmed by Invest International should be advised to consult an investment fraud lawyer immediately.

Invest International: Where do the fraudsters operate?
Unfortunately, Invest International's illegal activities are not limited to English-speaking countries. Because Invest International also addresses German-speaking investors, it is only a matter of time before the defrauded investors of this speaker group also come forward. A look at the list of regulators is advisable before any financial commitment in order to reduce the risk of becoming a victim of investment fraud.

Invest International: Investors want their money back!
Fortunately, the circumstances are not as hopeless as they seem. Those affected can defend themselves and demand their invested capital back. As of today, it is not likely that the Invest International investment fraudsters will be caught soon, but there is nevertheless reason for hope. This is especially true because the money was transferred through accounts provided by financial institutions that are concerned about their good reputation. It has been proven that those responsible failed to check the sometimes large deposits of investors and their onward transfer for illegality. Omissions of this kind enabled the investment fraudsters to carry out their criminal activities in the first place.

Invest International: They want their money back! How does it work?
Equipped with this knowledge, no one would have got involved in business with Invest International. Now the only option left to them is to seek redress for the damage. Many investors cannot even imagine that there is any real chance of ever seeing their money back. Probably all of them are now asking themselves whether they can get their money back? Clearly yes! There are numerous legal bases to fall back on. The generic term is "money laundering". When investment fraudsters collect money, the offence of money laundering has been committed. Financial institutions are obliged to take action against money laundering. This is where one starts with good chances of success. First, essential points have to be clarified. Where have the funds embezzled by Invest International been taken? Is there any chance that the investors who have been cheated will get back the money they invested with Invest International? What precautions need to be taken next? A lawyer specialising in investment fraud will be happy to answer such questions thoroughly.

Invest International: Who can help?
What to do in case of investment fraud? What help can victims of Invest International hope for in the case of investment fraud? Invest International victims will ideally find the help they need from an experienced investment fraud lawyer. He will be able to take care of your Invest International case both in terms of the criminal aspects of the investment fraud, as well as the recovery of funds and possible claims for damages. A lawyer for trading is also a possibility, because he is also familiar with the methods of fraudulent brokers such as Invest International.
